Walleye have been tagged in Bull Shoals Lake by the Department of Conservation in attempts to learn more about the fish and the anglers that catch them. Examine the walleye that you catch for orange, oval tags located between the spiny and soft dorsal fins (see illustration below). Tags from fish that will be released (legal or sub-legal) may be removed by clipping the wire that holds the tag in place. DO NOT PULL the tags from the fish. Tags are worth $10-$100. Anglers must provide the tag and the following information before the reward can be processed.
- Angler Name, Mailing Address and Phone number
- Length of fish when caught
- Lake zone (see map on back of reward card) or area where was caught (i.e. Barker Hole, Bee Creek, etc.
- Whether fish was harvested or released
- Type of bait/lure fish was caught on (i.e. Natural or Artificial)
